Vision Statements - Workshop

Confused about Vision statements? - what they are and why we need one?

Vision statements, mission statements, core values, there is no definitive answer about which one of these statements or values comes first or for that matter, the confusion surrounding why we need them.

In simple terms, vision statements align

the organisation, its people and the community,

with "what we do, How we do it, and why we do it"

This workshop is designed for Company owners to understand and give direction to leaders and management teams as to "Why" the organisation came to exist and what the vision for the organisation looked like. Has it changed? Another important direction is based around values, often the business owners core values or the way in which business is expected to be conducted with all stakeholders.

When we talk about alignment with the workforce, organisations today must have a clear vision for it's management teams to follow and pass on to the organisation workforce. When the workforce has purpose and understand the overall vision of the 'Why" employees feel connected, it is often why some employees are drawn to the organisation and further, it often sets the tone for culture across the organisation.

If management teams are out of alignment with your vision, have different values and or a boss mentality, your workforce turnover and talent retention is in jeopardy. Before we can train and educate leader/ managers in human skills, behavioural traits, self awareness and leadership style, the organisation vision statement is a must have to support change management, retention and future sustainability.

This workshop breaks down the meanings in simplified terms to organise a meaningful statement for both internal and external stakeholders of the organisation and how it goes about its business. During the workshop process, owners and or leadership teams will have the ability to renew or build a new vision statement that the organisation can quote proudly.

Aligning all employees in an organization helps to promote a shared vision and sense of purpose, leading to increased collaboration, improved communication and greater motivation. This, in turn, can result in better performance and a more positive work culture. Furthermore, having a unified workforce can reduce misunderstandings and conflicts, leading to higher productivity and job satisfaction.

In terms of organizational sustainability, aligning employees can help to ensure that everyone is working towards the same goals and objectives, which can enhance the long-term viability and success of the organization. It can also help to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, enabling the organization to adapt and thrive in an ever-changing business environment. Additionally, having a aligned workforce can help to build trust and credibility with stakeholders, which is essential for establishing and maintaining strong relationships that support the long-term success of the organization.
