Self assessment leadership Project 1.
The first workshop we facilitate in leader/manager education starts with self evaluation at your organisation in a group environment. The context of using several different theories and approaches though questionnaires, group discussion and past experiences allows leader/managers to openly discuss with their peer group and apply cognitive thought process purely based on how they interact with people in the present. The situational approach is applied for different departments, and or whether dealing with goods or services.
By further identifying interpersonal skills and behaviours of your current leadership/management team, each member develops a self awareness and understanding of their leader/manager profiles. As technical as the workshop may sound, when talking about how we operate on a daily basis personally, the intriguing nature of what others may feel about you is intrinsic to self awareness. The workshop is highly engaging for all levels of leadership.

On completion of the self awareness workshop, participants will gain extensive knowledge of themselves in their current state. By participating in a group setting with peer leader/managers, participants will instantly be aware of their interaction with everyone in the organisations workforce.

The final process in workshop 1, is to survey up to 5 employees in your workforce who report directly to the leader/manager. The concept allows comparison on how leaders/managers think they lead versus how employees believe they lead. For clarity, the employee name is not entered on the survey as an identifier. Findings are revealed directly with the leader/manger after they themselves complete the same survey. The scores of the five participants are averaged to measure whether the leader/manager scores him/her self, higher or lower than their direct reports. An eye opening experience for some leader/managers perceptions of themselves and a great benchmark for self assessment with ongoing development educational workshops.

We believe the best time to discuss the employee survey results are 2 to 5 days after the 'Self assessment workshop one". We organise a one on one session with each leader/manager for approx 20-30 minutes to discuss findings from the workforce survey.
A general overview report is generated for the organisation owner/CEO/General manager with findings from the workshop and or any specific items to mention to further support training in humanity skills.
