Leadership development education - Workshop 2
The 2nd workshop in the leadership project briefly overviews segments from workshop one as a refresher. The group then discusses and analyses visual situations (photos) of typical workforce interactions in different environment settings, for the purpose of identifying how leader/managers would conduct a response. Three specific themes are offered as stimulus to role play in response. A group discussion offers ideas between participants that will test their cognitive ability and emotional intelligence. This scenario tests participants on their human skills and often brings out conversations with their peers, on how they would have responded previously before learnings from the leadership workshops.
The workshop engages leader/managers to identify which skills, characteristics and styles will best harness and support the challenges of managing multi-generational employees within the workforce. Business Industry reports have published several examples of 'the great resignation" and specifically a McKinsey publication showing that 40% of workforces are looking to change their employment in the next three to six months, noting a lack of workforce purpose. We believe the one size fits all approach in response and communication from managers when a challenging environments exist, does not work. Everybody is built and programmed different, it is important to understand how members of the leader/managers team will respond to communications and which human skills are required to move forward effectively.

The workshop education expands into identifying culture problems and why they exist. In many organisations, uncomfortable environments are often accepted due to a sole toxic employee or several employees, because they have the ability to perform work at a higher level than others within the team. Poor organisational culture has many reasons for existing, however, toxic employees and toxic leader/managers are prime suspects, we discuss the importance of identifying potential toxic employees using a simple matrix chart. As a rule, most managers will overlook toxic people due to their high skillsets even though they may have a poor attitude, this workshop works through this scenario to help leader/managers understand why toxic people will stunt the future growth of other members of the team and why workforce turnover is inevitable.

One on one sessions are again part of the follow up for personalised discussions for leader/managers and their employees over a minimum 30 minute period in the workplace. The emphasis continues on human relationships, performance and self assessment surveys.

A general Findings report is generated for the organisation owner/CEO/General manager with analysis from the workshop 2 and or any specific items to mention to further support training in leadership

Unethical business practices are derived from cut throat environments leading a 'Finite' mindset. When achieving the short term goal at any cost derives a win for a team member or business right now, we become transactional in the approach.

Team members often feel insecure and anxious, resigning themselves to the culture of how things are done in a finite organisation. It creates an environment that does not feel safe to team members and drives down the individuals purpose in the workforce.
